Kings Reserve Masterplan

In early 2024 a community reference group was formed to guide the development of a re-imagined masterplan for community facilities on Kings reserve. The reference group comprises of many members of IIW who have developed and are working to achieve the following vision statement:

"Kings Reserve will become a beautiful and vibrant inclusive community park, celebrating nature, sustainability, and heritage, and creating a profound sense of place. It will be well connected to its surroundings and provide a variety of experiences to meet the current and future needs of the community."  

Kings Reserve Project Update - September 2025 

Detailed Design:

50% of detailed design drawings have been completed.

Prudential Review:

A Prudential Review is currently underway and will likely be considered by the Audit & Risk Committee on Friday 24 October 2025.

Final Council Approval:

If the Prudential Review is endorsed, final plans and costs will be presented to Council on Tuesday 18 November 2025.

Construction Start:

Following council approval, the project will go to tender, with construction works aiming to start around March 2026 (possibly earlier if the contractor is ready).
